## The Boundary

A Boundary is the cartographic distinction that allows one parcel to be differentiated from another.

The existence of multiple parcels necessitates the existence of boundaries.

A boundary exists not to establish ownership, governance, territory, value, or purpose, but to preserve distinction within the world.

Without boundaries, there can be no plurality of parcels.

Without plurality, there can be no supercontinent.

## Formal Definition

A Boundary is the cartographic distinction that distinguishes one parcel from another within the BitPangea supercontinent.

A boundary is a property of the world's structure rather than a property of any individual parcel.

Each boundary possesses the following immutable properties:

### Distinction

A boundary exists to differentiate one parcel from another.

Its primary function is distinction through identity rather than ownership, governance, or use.

### Necessity

Where multiple parcels exist, boundaries must exist.

The plurality of parcels necessitates distinction.

### Independence

### Permanence

Once established within the canonical structure of the world, a boundary cannot be erased or relocated.
